BUCKWHEAT BREAD 2 WAYS

Guys!! I am so dang excited to share these buckwheat bread recipes with you!! I have been working on these recipes for MONTHS trying to get them absolutely perfect and I think I’ve done it if i do say so myself ;) sometimes on your healing journey, you crave bread. Like bad.  I thought for quite some time that I would never be able to eat bread again! All the bread recipes I tried that had ingredients that would work for me fell apart or didn’t turn out. So I set out on a mission to create my own. I love this bread cuz I can eat it and feel NOTHING. Literally no reactions!!! Not one. Kind of life changing for a gal like me who is sensitive to everything. It’s such a treat! Enjoy the savory version as avocado toast or with tahini & tomato with some dulse or cilantro on top. I love the banana bread version with coconut butter and sliced banana. But honestly it doesn’t even need toppings it’s so good on its own! I know there are quite a few different flours in here but i promise it’s worth it. The texture and feel is so dang satisfying. We are lucky if a loaf lasts longer than 1 day in our house 😂 please tag me if you try either of these! I love to see your creations! 🙌🏼😘

BANANA BUCKWHEAT BREAD

VEGAN, GF, NUT-FREE, REFINED SUGAR FRRE

2 chia eggs (2tbs chia + 6 tbs water)

3 mashed ripe bananas

1 tsp vanilla or 1/2 tsp vanilla liquid stevia

1 tbs Apple cider

3 tbs sun butter (or any nutbutter of choice)

1/2 cup water


1 cup buckwheat

1/2 cup chickpea

1/2 cup flax

2 tbs coconut flour

1 tbs psyllium husk

1 tbs baking powder

1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp stevia (or more to taste)

Set oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl mash the 3 bananas. Add all the other wet ingredients to the banana and stir well. Set aside. In a separate bowl combine all the dry ingredients and mix well. Add the wet to the dry until fully combined. Dough should be slightly sticky. Pour into a lined loaf pan or silicone baking loaf pan. Pop in the oven for 50-60 min and enjoy:) (the magic number for me was 55 min but check at 50min because all ovens are different :) )

SAVORY BUCKWHEAT LOAF

VEGAN, GF, NUT FREE  

1 cup buckwheat flour

1/2 cup chickpea flour

1/2 cup ground flax seed

2 tbs coconut flour

1 tbs psyillum husk

1 tsp salt

1 tsp Garlic powder

1 tsp rosemary 

1 tbs baking powder

 

1/4 cup chia + 1 cup water

3 table spoons tahini (or any nutbutter of choice)

1 tbs ACV

1 cup water


*Feel free to add any other seasonings of choice :) *


Set oven to 350. Mix the chia and 1 cup water let sit for about 15 min to create a gel.

In a separate bowl mix up all the dry Ingredients. Add the ACV and tahini to the chia gel once it’s formed. Then mix the wet with the dry and add the remaining 1 cup water. Mix well and add to a lined loaf pan:) i sprinkled on top with garlic salt, rosemary, sesame seeds and pumkin seeds 🌿 bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes or when knife comes out clean :)

Eves home birth story is up on my blog ✨ link is in bio ✨ it was such a joy to write and relive. I will cherish this experience my whole life. Birth is transformational. I am forever changed ✨🧡✨ I’ve never swaddled. Not even once with Senna! We are 100% co-sleepers at our house (So now we have Senna, Eves and our pug Zoey all in bed with us at night 😬🤩) but I decided I really wanted Eves to be a good napper during the day so I could ✨Eves Scott✨ we have had the name Eves picked out for our son since before Senna was born! ✨ and he’s finally here. It’s the most surreal feeling. I feel like I have known his spirit for many years, got to know his energy in my belly, and Our Sun ✨🌞✨ he joined us earthside last night feb 16 at 9:13pm ✨ the last 24 hours have been absolutely magical ✨ he is such a treasure and we are enjoying newborn bliss. I’m feeling so incredibly grateful and in awe of our 3 hour homebirth ✨ ✨ baby, baby we’re ready for you ✨✨ This morning I woke up with the ping that we should take photos of Senna and I with my belly. That I didn’t have much time left with this belly ✨ I’m feeling so grateful that I get to do this again. That I get to birth my son into this re At the end of #35weeks and up 35lbs✨🥰 Just this past week I have REALLY started to feel pregnant. Tired, more swollen and doing a lot of meditation and fear work. I’m getting clear on where the fear is coming from and reprogramming and feeling Wishing everyone the happiest New Year ✨💕❄️🌬 2019 has been good to me. Feeling so grateful that I get to carry and be a portal to life again ✨ I can’t believe we will get to meet our new angel in a little over a month!! 😳😍 I’m also fe This was #33weeks with Senna and I will be 33 weeks this pregnancy on Sunday ✨ crazy to think this was almost 4 years ago. My pregnancies have been pretty similar so far. I’m not as swollen (yet🤣) as I was with Senna and I am HOPING I can keep Christmas ponies 🎄❤️🎄I cant get over how big she is getting 😭 today I’ve been packing and cleaning all day like crazy and she came up to me and said “mama I need a friend, i feel alone” 😭❤️ such a sweet gentle reminder to slow d At the end of 30 weeks and I can’t believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I’m 100% feeling allll the nesting feelings🤪 Lots of our baby stuff from Senna is back in Utah so I’m feeling pretty anxious to bring it back to Washingto having @domdomk on thanksgiving break has been such a TREAT!
